User training & adoption

The licence is the easy part. The habit is the hard part.

Every Microsoft 365 and Copilot business case assumes people will change how they work. Most of them do not, because nobody showed them how in the context of their own job. LogiSam runs role-based training with our partners Sahaba Club and ImpactEra — and then measures whether it actually changed anything.

Why the last roll-out did not land

None of these are motivation problems. They are design problems in how the training was scoped.

Plan a training programme
  • Everyone got the same ninety-minute session, regardless of what their job involves.
  • Copilot licences were assigned and the communication was an email with a link to Microsoft Learn.
  • People tried it twice, got a mediocre answer, and quietly went back to the old way.
  • The enthusiasts have nowhere to ask questions, so their momentum fades in a fortnight.
  • Nobody can say whether adoption improved, so the renewal conversation is about anecdotes.
  • The people who built the apps have left and no one else knows how to change them.
Why it matters

Adoption is a design problem, not a willpower problem

The gap between a trained and an untrained Copilot user is wider than the gap between two AI models. Training is where most of the available ROI actually is.

Teach the job, not the product

A finance analyst and a bid writer need different Copilot prompts, different examples and different guardrails. Generic training produces generic, forgettable results.

Prompt craft is a learnable skill

Context, role, format, constraints and iteration — taught through the participant’s own live work, so they leave with something finished rather than notes.

Champions carry it afterwards

One or two enthusiasts per department, with extra training and early access, answer the questions nobody would ever raise a ticket for.

Measure, or it did not happen

Attendance proves nothing. Active usage per surface and per department, tracked over time, is what tells you the programme worked.

What we deliver

Programmes we run

Mixed and matched into a programme — most organisations start with leadership, then a pilot cohort, then champions.

01

Microsoft 365 Copilot training

Role-based sessions for HR, finance, sales, legal, operations and IT, built around each team’s real documents and tasks. Deliverable: people using Copilot on Monday, not bookmarking it.

02

Prompt craft & hands-on labs

Practical workshops on context, framing, iteration and — critically — verification, using live work rather than sample data. Deliverable: a personal prompt library per participant.

03

Maker & citizen-developer academy

Power Apps, Power Automate and Dataverse for business builders, with the standards and guardrails baked into the curriculum. Deliverable: makers who build things IT is happy to support.

04

Admin & CoE enablement

Environments, DLP, ALM, monitoring and the CoE operating model, taught to the people who will run it after we leave. Deliverable: self-sufficiency.

05

Champions & super-user network

Selection, extra training, a community channel, a meeting cadence and recognition that actually motivates. Deliverable: support that scales without headcount.

06

Leadership AI briefings

Short, candid executive sessions on what AI can and cannot do, what it costs, where the risk sits and what good governance looks like. Deliverable: sponsors who can answer questions.

Delivered with

Our training partners

Adopting AI well takes more than software. We deliver the technical and maker training ourselves, and bring in the people who do AI skills and community for a living.

ImpactEra

Microsoft Global Training Partner · UAE

ImpactEra runs the programmes that take an organisation from curiosity about AI to confident everyday use — Copilot and Microsoft 365 training for staff, educators and leadership, including the 1 Million AI Talents initiative with Microsoft Elevate. They build the capability; we make sure the tenant underneath is ready for it.

Sahaba Club

Microsoft AI Cloud Partner · DIFC AI Campus, Dubai

An AI community of practitioners rather than commentators, based at the DIFC AI Campus in Dubai. Sahaba Club brings the events, hackathons and peer learning that turn a training course into a habit — and gives your champions somewhere to keep learning after the sessions end.

Both partnerships are UAE-based; UK training is delivered directly by LogiSam consultants.

Measuring the outcome

Prove the training changed something

Attendance sheets do not survive a renewal conversation. Copilot Insights shows active Copilot usage per surface, per department and over time — so you can compare a trained cohort against an untrained one, spot the teams that need another pass, and reclaim the licences that were never going to be used.

  • Adoption over time, per department and per Copilot surface
  • Dormant and low-usage licences identified for reassignment
  • An executive summary finance will accept as evidence

How we run it

How a programme runs

  1. 1

    Baseline

Measure current usage first, so there is something honest to compare against later.

  2. 2

    Segment

Group people by what their job actually involves, and write the curriculum per group.

  3. 3

    Teach

Live sessions on real work — in person, online or blended, in English or Arabic.

  4. 4

    Reinforce

Short clips, prompt libraries, office hours and a champions channel for the weeks after.

  5. 5

    Prove

Re-measure adoption per cohort and report what moved — and what needs another pass.

Outcomes

What you walk away with

Every engagement ends with something you can use — not a slide deck.

  • A named champions network with a running cadence
  • Leadership briefed well enough to answer awkward questions
  • Admins and makers able to run the platform without us
  • Adoption measured before and after, per department

FAQ

User training & adoption: your questions answered

Who delivers the training?

LogiSam consultants deliver the technical and maker training — Power Platform, SharePoint, governance and admin. Copilot and AI-skills programmes are delivered with our partners ImpactEra, a Microsoft Global Training Partner, and alongside the Sahaba Club community in Dubai. You get practitioners who build this for a living, not a generic courseware vendor.

Is training delivered in person or online?

Both. In person in the UK and UAE, live online for distributed teams, and a blended format — a live session followed by short reinforcement clips and a champions channel — which is what sticks best in practice.

Do you train in Arabic as well as English?

Yes. Sessions are available in English and Arabic across the UAE and wider GCC through our partner network.

What makes Copilot training different from normal software training?

There are no menus to memorise. The skill is knowing which tasks to delegate, how to frame the request, how to give the model the right context and — most importantly — how to check the answer. That is taught through the person’s own real work, not a sample dataset.

How do you measure whether training worked?

Usage, not attendance. Copilot Insights shows active Copilot usage per surface, per department and over time, so you can compare a trained cohort with an untrained one and see whether the curve actually moved.

Can you train our IT team to run the platform themselves?

Yes — that is the point. Admin and maker enablement, governance standards, CoE processes and runbooks are part of every engagement, so you are not dependent on us to keep things running.

What is a champions network and do we need one?

A small group of enthusiastic users, one or two per department, who get extra training and early access, and who answer the everyday questions their colleagues will never raise a ticket for. It is the single highest-return adoption investment we know of, and it costs almost nothing.

Train the people, then prove it worked

Tell us who needs to change how they work and we will design a programme around their actual jobs — with a measurement baseline so the renewal conversation is about data, not opinions.
