We already have Power BI. Why would we need help?
Most organisations do not have a Power BI problem — they have a semantic-model problem. Reports built directly on raw tables duplicate business logic, disagree with each other and cannot be reused. We consolidate the logic into a governed semantic model so every report answers from the same definition of “revenue”, “active customer” or “on time”.
Do we need Microsoft Fabric?
Not always, and we will say so. Fabric earns its place when you have multiple sources, real data volume or a need for scheduled pipelines and a lakehouse. If your data lives in SharePoint lists, Dataverse and one SQL database, Power BI with dataflows is usually the right answer and a fraction of the cost.
Why does nobody open the dashboards we built?
Almost always one of three reasons: it does not answer the question the person actually has, it is not where they work, or they do not trust the numbers. We fix all three — start from the decision, embed the report in Teams or the app they already use, and make the definitions visible so the numbers can be challenged and defended.
Can you embed reports inside Teams or a Power App?
Yes. Reports embedded in a Teams tab, a Power Apps screen or a SharePoint page get far more use than a link to the Power BI service. We also handle row-level security so a regional manager sees only their region, in every surface.
What about report sprawl — we have hundreds?
We run a rationalisation exercise: usage telemetry tells you which reports are genuinely opened, which duplicate each other and which have not been viewed in six months. Typically two-thirds can be retired or merged, which makes the remainder trustworthy.
Can we report on Copilot and Power Platform usage too?
Yes — and that is often the first thing leadership asks for once AI spend appears on the bill. Copilot Insights gives you Copilot adoption and ROI reporting out of the box, and Power Insights exports the Power Platform estate to Excel and PDF for the same purpose.
